Nilotica honey comes from South Sudan. We source from local beekeeping communities across different natural and floral regions of the country.
Our primary honey varieties are Shea Honey, Acacia Honey and Wildflower Honey.
Nilotica Shea Honey is honey associated with bees foraging on shea trees, particularly Vitellaria paradoxa, within South Sudan’s shea-rich landscapes.
Our honey products are naturally produced honey with no added sugars or artificial sweeteners.
Product descriptions such as “raw” will depend on the specific product and processing method. Product specifications should be confirmed for each batch or product format.
Nilotica’s processing approach is designed to avoid unnecessary heating and preserve the natural characteristics of honey. Specific processing specifications are available upon request.
Crystallization is a natural characteristic of honey. The rate depends on floral source, natural sugar composition, temperature and other factors.
Routine checks include moisture, appearance, aroma, physical condition, net weight and packaging integrity. Additional laboratory testing can be conducted where required.
Our internal target is ≤18.5% moisture.
